Vueling ceases flying temporarily to Tel Aviv due to current security situation

Barcelona, July 22nd 2014–. Vueling ceases flying temporarily to Tel Aviv due to current security situation in the region.

Thus, the VY7846 flight from Barcelona to Tel Aviv that was scheduled to depart at 2:10am on Wednesday July 23rd will not be operated, nor VY7845 from Tel Aviv to Barcelona schedule to depart at 8:10am.

Vueling will continue to evaluate the situation and will restart its activities once safety conditions allow the company to do so.

Vueling ceases flying the eastern Ukraine airspace for now after the accident with MH17

Barcelona, July 18th  2014 – Vueling ceases flying over the airspace of Eastern Ukraine after learning about the accident with MH17 flight from Malaysia Airlines.

Vueling routes to Moscow and Saint Petersburg will not fly over Ukraine and the Barcelona – Kiev flight (VY7734) will normally operate, avoiding the airspace of eastern Ukraine which is currently closed.  This flight is schedule to depart at 23.55 and land at 4.25 local time.

For Vueling, the safety of your passengers is an unconditional priority. Nevertheless, the company wishes to send a message of condolence to the families of the victims.

Called off strike in France from 24th to 30th of June

We would like to inform you that the strike in France  for the 24th until the 30th has been called off.

The flights scheduled for tomorrow 26 onwards will operate normally.

Air traffic controllers strike in France from 24th to 30th of June

We would like to inform you that an air traffic controllers strike is due for the 24th until the 30th of June in France, that causes some restrictions in our operations.

Due to this situation, we kindly ask you to check your flight status clicking here before you go to the airport.

Please, check here the flights that will not be operated. The information about the affected flights  will be daily updated.

All passengers affected by the air traffic controllers strike with bookings made through www.vueling.com have been informed by e-mail and sms to the same e-mail entered in the booking. The options at your disposal are:

1. CHANGE THE FLIGHT

If you want to change your booking, you’ll be able to choose one of the following options by clicking here or by contacting our special telephone number: 902 808 009 from Spain or (+34) 93 122 00 55 from other countries:

  • Free change to the previous or next available flight.
  • Change to another flight without paying any fee for the change, but the fare difference between both flights should be paid.

If one of your flights has been operated and one of them is affected by the air traffic controllers strike, please contact our special telephone number to make the change.

2. REQUEST A REFUND ONLINE

  • Alternately, you can ask for the refund of the affected flight here. The refunds will be done within seven (7) days. Please, do not forget to inform us your booking reference when you make your request.

It’s not necessary that you go to the airport to manage this procedures. You have 7 days from the date of your flight affected to manage your change or request the refund.

If you have a connecting flight, please contact us and we will offer you the best option.

All passengers of flights affected by the strike with bookings made through travel agencies or online agencies, should ask for the change or the refund to their own customer services.

If you have a booking done by Iberia in codeshare with Vueling, you should ask for the change or the refund through www.iberia.com.

Dangerous goods

In accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 8/2008, of 11 December 2007, VUELING is not a carrier authorised to handle and transport dangerous goods. It is forbidden, therefore, to carry the following Dangerous Goods in hold baggage and in hand baggage:

  • Explosives, ammunition or pyrotechnic material (such as pyrotechnic devices, flares, torches, toy guns and percussion caps).
  • Flammable, non-flammable, toxic, non-toxic or poisonous gases (such as butane or propane gas canisters). Oxygen or gaseous air cylinders required for medical use may only be carried when empty and the cylinder must not exceed a gross weight of 5 kilogrammes, nor surpass the measurements for hand luggage and must be equipped with fastening straps. If a Passenger requires a supply of oxygen during the flight, they must request this service from the Carrier in advance by calling Customer Services.
