Air traffic control strike in Italy

We would like to inform you that today 20th March an air traffic controllers strike in Italy is expected, wich may affect our operations. For that reason we kindly ask you to check your flight status before you go to the airport here .

Ground staff strike in Berlin

We would like to inform you that a handling strike in Berlin has been confirmed from 10thMarch and planned to last until 14th March 2017. As a result of this strike, we have been forced to cancel some of our flights.

We are working hard to minimise the disruption, and we would like to apologise for this cancellation. We would however like to confirm that it is not necessary for you to go to the airport to make any of these changes. You have seven days from the date of your affected flight to manage your booking.

The following options are available to you:

  • Free change for another flight leaving up to 15 days before or after scheduled departure.
  • Ask refund of affected flight; reimbursements will be made within the next 7 days.

Passengers who are affected by this strike and that have bookings made through www.vueling.com have been notified by e-mail and sms to those contacts showed on booking.

Passengers who are affected by this strike and that have booked through a travel agency or an online travel agency must contact to their customer service team to make any changes or request a refund. Those passengers who have a booking made through Iberia or British Airways in codeshare with Vueling must request any changes or refund directly from that airline.

We kindly ask you to check previously your flight status before going to the airport.

Air traffic controllers strike in France

We would like to inform you that an Air Traffic Control strike in France has been confirmed from 6th March and planned to last until 10th March 2017. As a result of this strike, the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) has requested airlines to reduce their flight schedules into and out of France, as well as those flights passing through French airspace. This has therefore unfortunately impacted our operations on these dates.

Change of terminal at London-Gatwick airport

We would like to inform you that on March 26th 2017 the flights from / to London-Gatwick (LGW) will be operated from / to Terminal South. Whether you have to check in or collect your baggage, you have to go to South Terminal.

The location of the Vueling counters at Terminal South is in Zone D.

QATAR AIRWAYS AND VUELING AIRLINES LAUNCH CODE-SHARE PARTNERSHIP

Qatar Airways passengers to benefit from Vueling’s extensive European network

DOHA, Qatar – Qatar Airways is pleased to announce a code-share partnership with Vueling Airlines, offering passengers enhanced travel across Europe from today.

Qatar Airways passengers can now connect with ease to 67 popular routes of Vueling Airlines’ extensive network. Vueling Airlines flies to 24 destinations in Spain, 16 in Italy and four in Portugal, in addition to a number of destinations in France, Croatia, Germany, Malta, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic.

The new partnership will allow seamless connectivity via the airlines’ common gateways of Barcelona El Prat and Rome Fiumicino. Qatar Airways operates double-daily flights between both cities and its state-of-the-art hub, Hamad International Airport in Doha, linking Vueling Airlines’ European network with Qatar Airways’ global network of more than 150 destinations.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “Our new code-share agreement with Vueling Airlines will allow even greater opportunities for passengers across Europe to connect to the global Qatar Airways network.

“Code-share partnerships and airline alliances continue to play an important role for Qatar Airways. The further addition of these code-share routes will offer an enhanced and unrivalled global network and improves our competitive offering.”

Vueling Airlines’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Javier Sánchez-Prieto said: “There are increasingly closer ties between Qatar Airways and Vueling, and this agreement will enable passengers from both airlines to benefit from the flexibility and convenience provided by the code-share on different European and Middle Eastern routes.”

Qatar Airways Business Class customers will be able to enjoy the comfort of Vueling Airlines Excellence Class, with fast-track security, access to premium lounges and priority boarding and seating. The benefits also extend to frequent fliers with Qatar Airways Privilege Club members eligible to earn Qmiles on Vueling Airline code-share flights.

The new code-share agreement, which builds upon the interline agreement signed between the two carriers in October 2014, is effective immediately and bookings can be made via Qatar Airways from today.

Now in its 19th year of operations, the airline operates a modern fleet of 190 aircraft flying to more than 150 key business and leisure destinations across six continents.
